A HOLISTIC VIEW ON HEALTH
Symptoms of disease, ill-health and emotional problems are all signs that one or more of our bodily systems have gone out of balance. The goal of any holistic treatment is to restore balance.
As a yoga therapist, I help people identify the root causes of imbalance and restore the body-mind system in order to set into motion the body's self-healing mechanisms.
The power of yoga therapy and working with natural medicines is that they address the root of our ill-health instead of just suppressing or masking our symptoms.

Lifestyle
Transforming our life often begins by examining our lifestyle. What is working and supporting us? This includes a lifestyle routine which suits our temperament and tasks which give us a sense of purpose.
Diet
Consuming a diet which is not only rich in nutrients, but filled with prana or life force. Often we think we are eating healthily, while in fact we're eating the external remnant of what once was a life fruit, vegetable or herbal medicine which has become devoid of its energetic properties and therefor won't nourish us on a deeper level.
Breathing
Breathing correctly is essential to bring nutrients to the body and brain, balance our emotions and calm our mind. Yoga's many breathing exercises help us to facilitate the healing we need.
Yoga
Exercise and stretching (yoga postures, sports, dance) keep our energy flowing, reduce energetic blockages, balance our biochemistry and release stuck emotions from the tissues. They counter habitual posture which reveals how we face life, and helps us to induce new ways of feeling, thinking and being.
Meditation
Internalizing our awareness, practicing mindfulness and meditating helps us to maintain mental equilibrium and find inner rest. It amplifies our consciousness so that we can feel connected to ourselves and feel one-ness with the whole of existence.
